Job summary

SQA Services in Los Angeles County is seeking a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector to perform inspections at client sites, ensuring products meet required standards. You will read schematics, verify conformance, and manage COC paperwork in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers flexible full-time or part-time hours (3–5 days per week) with on-site work in the Los Angeles area. IPC‑A‑620 certification and LEAN knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields.
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components.
• Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC).
• Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills.
• Certified or previously certified in IPC‑A‑620.
• Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering.
• Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing.
• Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector.

Responsibilities

• Perform first‑article, in‑process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers
• Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
• Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
• Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
• Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non‑conformances
• Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
• Familiar with IPC‑A‑620 standards

We’re hiring for a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector position in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.
