Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Quality Auditor to inspect and audit products and processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards. This hourly role involves in-process and final audits, documenting results, and escalating non-conformances for containment.

The incumbent will work with production teams to resolve quality issues at the source, maintain calibration of equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years in quality inspection or auditing in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).

About this role

The Quality Auditor is an hourly role responsible for inspecting and auditing products and processes to ensure they meet Carrier’s quality standards. Working under general supervision, this role performs in-process and final audits, documents results and escalates non-conformances for containment.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs in-process, final and layered process audits against control plans and standards.
• Inspects products and components using gauges, fixtures and measurement equipment.
• Documents audit results, defects and non-conformances accurately in quality systems.
• Identifies, tags and segregates non-conforming material and escalates for disposition.
• Supports containment activities and verifies effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Partners with production teams to resolve quality issues at the source.
• Maintains calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment.
• Supports continuous-improvement and defect-reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED
• 5+ years of quality inspection or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive motions for the full shift; lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime based on production needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical/Associate degree or quality certification
• Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with CMM, vision systems or advanced measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and layered process audits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, control plans and inspection instructions.
• Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures).
• Working knowledge of quality systems, non-conformance handling and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to make sound judgments on product acceptance.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 - $48.00 per hour.
