Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Quality Auditor in Fort Worth, TX. This hourly role conducts in-process and final audits to ensure products meet Carrier's quality standards, documenting results and escalating non-conformances for containment.

The candidate will work with production teams, maintain inspection equipment calibration, and support continuous improvement initiatives. A high school diploma and 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in quality inspection or auditing in manufacturing.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as production needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final and layered process audits against control plans and standards.

About this role

The Quality Auditor is an hourly role responsible for inspecting and auditing products and processes to ensure they meet Carrier's quality standards. Working under general supervision, this role performs in-process and final audits, documents results and escalates non-conformances for containment.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs in-process, final and layered process audits against control plans and standards.
• Inspects products and components using gauges, fixtures and measurement equipment.
• Documents audit results, defects and non-conformances accurately in quality systems.
• Identifies, tags and segregates non-conforming material and escalates for disposition.
• Supports containment activities and verifies effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Partners with production teams to resolve quality issues at the source.
• Maintains calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment.
• Supports continuous-improvement and defect-reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED
• 5+ years of quality inspection or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive motions for the full shift; lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime based on production needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical/Associate degree or quality certification
• Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with CMM, vision systems or advanced measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and layered process audits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, control plans and inspection instructions.
• Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures).
• Working knowledge of quality systems, non-conformance handling and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to make sound judgments on product acceptance.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between$24.00 - $48.00per hour.Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
