Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Athens, GA is seeking a Quality Auditor to perform inspections and ensure parts meet specifications. You will use checklists, tooling, and data systems to document quality issues and flag defects for repair.

The role requires overtime on short notice and offers a competitive wage with benefits starting on Day One. This is a 1st shift hourly position based in Athens, GA.

• Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35lbs.
• Inspect products to ensure it meets the specifications.
• Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair.

As a Quality Auditor at Caterpillar, you will:

Basic Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Willing and able to pass eye exam for visual weld inspection

Top candidates will also have:

• Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP software
• Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with inspection and product auditing processes
• Intermediate proficiency with measurement equipment and gages
• Heavy equipment machine assembly experience with tractors or excavators

Monday-Friday, 7:00AM- 3:10pm

Summary Pay Range:

$20.55 - $25.65
