Job summary

Röchling Industrial in Akron, OH is seeking a Quality Audit professional for the 3rd shift to perform first-piece inspections, measure parts with calipers and gauges, and document results to support production approvals.

You will identify nonconforming materials, assist with containment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining 6S and workplace organization. A high school diploma and 2 years in automotive manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing and plastic parts environment preferred.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece inspections and dimensional measurements to support production approval processes.
• Conduct initial part inspections using fixtures, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Identify, escalate, and help contain nonconforming materials on the production floor to prevent quality issues.
• Perform incoming material inspections and complete all required documentation.
• Conduct outgoing product inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Identify and escalate supplier quality concerns to the appropriate teams.
• Manage and maintain containment areas for nonconforming materials.
• Calibrate, maintain, and verify measuring instruments, gauges, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
• Complete additional inspection, testing, and measurement activities as assigned.
• Support workplace organization, cleanliness, and 6S initiatives.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities and other quality-related duties as needed.
