Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience or training preferred; equivalent combinations considered.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of GD&T and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect parts for compliance with quality requirements.
• Verify documentation and paperwork for accuracy.
• Read blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances.
• Use inspection tools to complete dimensional reports.
• Initiate containment activities when discrepancies are identified.
• Review and refine data collection requirements based on customer drawings, PPAP standards.
• Participate in Gage R&R studies.
• Act as impartial between production and customer to ensure product quality.
• Perform inspection tasks with minimal supervision.
• Communicate inspection findings and non-conformances to stakeholders.
