Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Quality Technician to support the Fort Worth Brands portfolio from New London, North Carolina. You will participate in sampling, test product characteristics, record results, and help drive quality improvements in an industrial manufacturing environment.

A high school diploma or GED is required with basic math and Excel proficiency, plus comfort with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in quality sampling systems and prepare test samples to required sizes.

• Report audit/test results and advise if outcomes are acceptable.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Participate in the quality sampling systems and procedures to ensure that all required test samples are obtained and prepared for testing. Prepare samples to the specific required sizes for testing utilizing a miter saw, table saw, drill press, and planer.
• Responsible for assisting manufacturing in the monitoring and assuring of product quality.
• Routinely tests product characteristics, in process and post production. Graphs, analyzes, records and reports meaningful information from these tests.
• Promptly reports results of audits/tests/analyses to the appropriate individual; advising whether or not the results are acceptable.
• Advises production and quality management of observed trends in quality parameters.
• Supports maintaining and updating test records. Includes data entry of test results into the required databases.
• Participate in the evaluation and initiation of actions to improve quality performance.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Must work overtime, holidays and weekends as scheduled.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $19 USD - $20 USD.
