Job summary

DeWys Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Auditor to inspect parts on the production floor, perform first-piece, last-piece, and in-process inspections, and ensure conformance to drawings and customer requirements.

You will provide hands-on guidance on inspection methods, train operators, and participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement, while supporting ISO 9001 quality records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and height gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to speak up when requirements are not met.
• Clear communication skills and teamwork with production teams.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Previous quality inspection or ISO 9001 familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, last-piece, and in-process inspections to verify parts meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Inspect critical dimensions, welds, hole locations, finishes, and other features using measuring tools.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits to verify adherence to drawings, work instructions, and quality procedures.
• Record inspection results accurately and communicate findings to operators, supervisors, and the Quality team.
• Identify and document nonconforming product, contain and reinspect reworked parts as needed.
• Provide hands-on guidance on drawings, tolerances, inspection methods, and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Help identify recurring issues and training needs; participate in corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Support ISO 9001 quality system records and processes.

Quality Auditor

At DeWys Manufacturing, quality is built into the work we do every day. We’re looking for a Quality Auditor who can spot issues early, help operators understand requirements, and partner with Production to get parts right the first time.

In this hands-on role, you’ll move throughout the production floor performing inspections and process audits. You’ll be a resource to operators and supervisors, helping prevent defects before products reach the next operation or our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Perform first-piece, last-piece, and in-process inspections to verify parts meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Inspect critical dimensions, welds, hole locations, finishes, and other required features using appropriate measuring tools and gauges.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits to verify that production teams are following drawings, work instructions, inspection requirements, and quality procedures.
• Record inspection results accurately and communicate findings to operators, supervisors, and the Quality team.
• Identify and document nonconforming product, help ensure it is properly contained, and reinspect reworked parts as needed.
• Provide hands-on guidance to operators on drawings, tolerances, inspection methods, and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Help identify recurring issues and training needs, and participate in corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
• Support accurate quality records and the requirements of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

What You’ll Bring

Previous quality inspection experience, sheet metal fabrication experience, or familiarity with ISO 9001 is preferred.
