Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a quality inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products. You will verify dimensions with precision tools, document defects, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree or technical training preferred.

  • Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems preferred.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured products.
  • Conduct first-piece, last-piece, and hourly quality inspections according to work instructions.
  • Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
  • Identify and document product defects, dimensional issues, and cosmetic defects.
  • Complete inspection records, quality checklists, and electronic documentation accurately.
  • Perform dock audits and verify products meet customer requirements before shipment.
  • Place nonconforming material on hold and initiate appropriate quality documentation.
  • Communicate quality concerns to production supervisors, engineers, and operators.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Ensure calibration status of inspection equipment before use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
