Job Description Summary

A Quality Auditor ensures that products meet the highest quality standards, investigates and resolves issues, and reviews SOWs, RFPs, design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers, suppliers, and employees in resolving issues.
  • Assist in the improvement of manufacturing, process, and product efficiency to reduce nonconforming products.
  • Ensure products meet the organization’s and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements.
  • Support product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
  • Participate in a cross‑function team to determine root causes of failures and identify when failure analysis is necessary, providing recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description
  • Develop and evaluate quality processes and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards and government regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit activities across Draper’s facilities with up to 20% travel within the United States.
  • Evaluate quality process and system standards to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate audit reports on internal and external audits, system, product and process conformity, pre‑audits, and special audits.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring quality system process discrepancies.
  • Interface as needed with programs, engineering, customer, and supply chain representatives to ensure quality system process requirements are met.
  • Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
  • Analyze audit data and generate corporate metrics, identify areas of risk and mitigating solutions, and deliver audit planning and results accurately to all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate DCMA and 3rd Party Registrar audits, develop, distribute, monitor, and validate internal and external issued corrective action requests (CARs).
  • Prefer experience working in the microelectronics or defense industry.
  • Certified trained auditor in ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D, preferably AS9100D.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience auditing at the ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 level, preferably at AS9100 Security.
Security Requirement
