Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years of hands‑on software testing and test automation experience to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position requires Day 1 Onsite presence and is strictly restricted to local candidates.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern test automation frameworks—specifically Playwright and Karate—to design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing suites for web applications and API services.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Architect, build, and maintain robust, scalable automation test frameworks using Playwright (UI testing) and Karate (API testing).
• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA leads to define test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, isolate, and track software defects to resolution using tools like JIRA.
• Test Maintenance & Optimization: Maintain existing test suites, conduct root‑cause analysis on test failures, and optimize script execution speed and stability.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement to advocate for quality across the SDLC.

Mandatory & Required Skills

• Experience: 8+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
• Core Automation Tools:
• Karate: Strong experience using Karate Framework for API testing and data-driven automation.
• Testing Expertise: Solid understanding of QA methodologies, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and API testing (REST/SOAP).
• CI/CD & DevOps: Hands‑on experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Version Control & Management: Proficiency with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and JIRA for test management and defect tracking.

Qualifications & Location Requirements

• Location: Must currently reside in or near Phoenix, AZ (Locals Only).
• Onsite Requirement: Must be willing and ready to work Onsite from Day 1.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
