Senior QA Tester – Full-Time, Remote

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Tester to join our remote team full-time. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software solutions through both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing complex testing workflows and tools in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test plans based on requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Develop test cases to validate all functionalities thoroughly.
• Execute functional, performance, security, usability, regression, load, and stress tests.
• Log, track, and update bugs using Mantis, assigning priorities and responsibilities.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium and Serenity BDD.
• Set up and maintain testing environments to meet QA needs.
• Coordinate smooth and error-free software version deployments.
• Administer Git repositories, manage branches, and work closely with developers to ensure code readiness.
• Manage and maintain Nextcloud for documentation and test resource storage.
• Support the administration and monitoring of hosted websites, ensuring their uptime and proper functionality.
• Monitor, report, and follow up on defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Document test plans, cases, results, and related QA artifacts.
• Lead and support user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring product alignment with client requirements.
• Mentor and train new QA team members; promote best practices and process improvements.
• Define and track QA metrics and KPIs to assess testing effectiveness.
• Participate in product and cross-functional meetings to maintain product quality at all stages.
• Customize Mantis projects and workflows to align with internal QA processes.
• Create and manage users, roles, and permissions in GLPI and Mantis BT.
• Define business rules and workflows in GLPI to support incident and request management.
• Maintain GLPI and Nextcloud databases by cleaning outdated records and optimizing performance.
• Configure integrations with external tools (e.g., email systems, APIs) to streamline support operations.
• Generate custom reports on ticket status, support activity, and system performance to improve workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience in test execution, manual and automated testing, and test case design.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in defect tracking and test management using Mantis, GLPI, or similar tools.
• Experience with Selenium, Serenity BDD, and version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with configuring and maintaining test environments.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Nextcloud and systems administration is a strong plus.
