About The Role

As a Quality Assurance/Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and fixes for defects. Your role will involve designing and implementing testing procedures, both manual and automated, to ensure the systems meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Test all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain both manual and automated test procedures.
• Perform exploratory testing and document results.
• Test STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) for functionality on IT systems.
• Evaluate and implement automated test tools and strategies.
• Report on the status of test cases to project leads.
• Collaborate with product owners to understand application capabilities, testing scenarios, and deadlines.
• Support customer UAT (User Acceptance Testing) events.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• An ABET-accredited Master’s degree in the stated fields can substitute for 4 years of experience, and an ABET-accredited PhD can substitute for 5 years of experience.
• Experience:
• At least 6 years of experience in software testing, including designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures.
• Experience in automating software testing processes and conducting software performance analysis.
• Proficiency in white-box, black-box, end-to-end, integration, and regression testing.
• Experience with QA documentation (test cases, scenarios, RTM) and bug tracking in systems like Jira.
• Ability to identify risks and constraints, manage contingency plans, and deliver test deliverables.
• Prior Navy-related experience is preferred.
• Desired Certifications:
• DoD 8570 IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II certification.
• At least one of the following certifications is preferred:
• CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.

• Familiarity with tools such as UI Path, Appian, ServiceNow, Archibus, Jira, Sharepoint, and Flankspeed.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Ability to work well in remote work settings.

• Comfortable with quick deadlines and dynamic team environments.
  
  

Security Clearance

• Requires U.S. Citizenship and active security clearance.
  
  

Pay Range

• $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
