Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Test Analyst in Jericho, NY, to oversee QA activities for the OMS Upgrade Project. The role requires collaboration with project and operations teams to ensure testing integrates smoothly into the project lifecycle.

With 5+ years in QA for large ADMS/OMS systems and hands-on test design, you will drive test strategy, planning, execution, and defect management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with large, complex ADMS/OMS systems.
• Experience with GEV ADMS v3.11 or newer preferred.
• Ability to develop test strategies, plans, scenarios and cases.
• Hands-on in creating and executing comprehensive test cases.
• Coordinate with development, BAs, POs and business owners.
• Strong understanding of application functionality and testing requirements.
• Experience in requirements analysis and test planning.
• Prepare test data and maintain RTM.
• Ensure PII masking in test artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of QA and testing activities for the OMS Upgrade Project.
• Collaborate with project and operations teams to integrate testing into lifecycle.
• Upload and execute test cases, perform regression testing and retest defects.
• Document test results with screenshots and timestamps.
• Track defects through resolution and perform retesting.

Requirements Analysis & Test Planning

• Review requirements and design documents.
• Log questions and clarifications into the Clarification Tracker.
• Ensure all testing-related queries are resolved before testing begins.
• Determine:

• Out-of-scope testing items
• Create comprehensive test:
• Scenarios
• Stories
• Test cases
• Ensure test coverage addresses all functionalities and requirements.
• Prepare test data and verify its availability and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain a Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Ensure all requirements are properly validated.
• Support the Test Lead in developing the overall test plan.

Test Execution

• Upload test cases into the designated test management tool.
• Execute all test cases thoroughly to verify application functionality.
• Perform regression testing to ensure fixes do not introduce new defects.
• Retest defects after resolution.
• Re-execute affected test cases once defects are fixed.
• Document test results with:
• Screenshots
• Date and timestamp
• Relevant testing details
• Ensure all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is properly masked.

Defect Management

• Identify and report defects discovered during testing.
• Document defects with:
• Detailed description
• Steps to reproduce
• Test data
• Screenshots
• Relevant supporting information
• Track defects through resolution.
• Perform defect retesting and validation.

Reporting & Monitoring

• Track application downtime in the Downtime Tracker.
• Report testing-related risks to the Test Lead and Project Manager.
• Clearly communicate the potential impact of risks on:
• Testing activities
• Project timelines
• Overall project delivery
• Create dashboards within the test management tool to monitor:
• Test execution status
• Defect status
• Testing progress
