Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Guymon, Oklahoma is seeking a Quality Assurance technician to join our pork processing facility. You will conduct routine audits, inspections, and line checks to ensure products meet specifications, food safety standards, and GMPs while complying with USDA/FSIS directives.

The ideal candidate has a science or engineering background and experience in the protein industry, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, or related discipline with two (2) years of progressively responsible positions or five (5) years in the protein industry.
• Knowledge of USDA and FSIS directives and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with FSQA for pork business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine audits, inspections for quality checks and food safety.
• Perform visual line and finished product inspections for conformance to specifications.
• Place tags to hold or reject products not meeting specifications.
• Notify supervisors or personnel of problems or stop production if defects occur.
• Monitor GMPs, SOPs, and CCPs.
