Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a General Engineering Technician for our Guymon, Oklahoma processing plant. The role covers mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration domains, focusing on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades to sustain production of Prairie Fresh pork.

You will adhere to food safety and GMPs while supporting continuous improvement. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree in mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, or electrical fields and have at least 1 year of

Qualifications

• Must pass the Mechanical Reasoning Test.
• Must properly utilize safety equipment (hard hat, harness, earplugs, steel-toed boots, hairnet/beard cover, gloves, safety glasses, welding equipment).
• Work hours and days established as needed; shifts may change by management.
• Maintenance dept. works four days on, three days off; twelve-hour shift.
• Engineering degree in mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, electrical or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a technician role, preferably food manufacturing.
• Analytically minded and willing to learn new computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks according to SOPs and checklists.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment per schedule.
• Identifies continuous improvement initiatives during troubleshooting.
• Interprets work orders to determine repair or maintenance needs.
• Investigates operational constraints to minimize downtime.
• Ensures equipment is set up properly for maximum efficiency.
