Job summary

Primo Brands in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a QA technician to support water bottling, testing, and quality assurance activities at the plant. This role emphasizes laboratory work, data review, and continuous quality improvements.

The position offers night shifts, a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, and competitive hourly pay with a step increase after 90 and 180 days, plus robust benefits and retirement options.

Qualifications

  • College-level education in a science-related field preferred.
  • Experience with basic laboratory procedures.
  • Exposure to QA or Production in a food or beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP and sanitation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot water processing equipment and systems.
  • Support water bottling and packaging operations with a primary focus on quality assurance and testing.
  • Perform basic laboratory testing (pH, turbidity, conductivity).
  • Review daily quality data from production operators.
  • Communicate test results and improvement opportunities to team members.
  • Provide training support related to QA processes and procedures.
  • Support validation activities to ensure processes meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow site safety standards and quality KPIs.

Compensation

$21.42 / hour

$0.50 per hour increases following successful 90-day and 180-day reviews.

Shift Differential

Additional 6%-8% of the base hourly rate for eligible hours worked.

Schedule

Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, following a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot basic water processing equipment and systems, including pumps, valves, and piping.
  • Troubleshoot water sanitation equipment and systems, including Clean-in-Place (CIP) equipment.
  • Support water bottling and packaging operations, with a primary focus on quality assurance and food safety testing.
  • Support validation activities to help ensure production lines and processes meet applicable quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform basic laboratory testing, including pH, turbidity, conductivity, and related analyses.
  • Prepare and process microbiological samples for testing and evaluation.
  • Create spiked samples to support proficiency testing and quality verification activities.
  • Review and monitor daily quality data collected from production operators.
  • Conduct water sensory evaluations, including taste and odor assessments.
  • Follow site safety standards and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support site and corporate quality programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate test results, quality deviations, and improvement opportunities to team members and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Provide training support related to quality assurance processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • College-level education in a science-related field such as food science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Previous experience performing basic laboratory procedures.
  • Exposure to Quality Assurance or Production in a food or beverage manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a team-based setting.
  • Experience with sanitation programs and microbiological control systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of food safety and food defense requirements, regulatory and audit environments, microbiological testing, manufacturing controls, and related systems.
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders to support workflow and operational objectives.
  • Exposure to fluid processing operations and sanitation science principles.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, quality standards, and timely execution of responsibilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions that support quality and operational excellence.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday.
