Job summary

Amarr Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Lawrence, KS to support and implement standards and procedures aligned with customer expectations. The role involves inspecting materials, supporting audits, and maintaining calibration records in a high-volume environment.

The position requires the ability to read simple engineering drawings, operate lab testing equipment, and contribute to continuous quality improvements on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience implementing quality checks and tests.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication with production leadership.
• Experience operating laboratory-testing equipment.
• Experience with gage calibration is desirable.
• Experience using QMS software is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of Amarr products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming material and finished products.
• Assist with quality audits.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure devices are within calibration.
• Read and interpret simple engineering drawings.
• Prepare documents to record inspection results.
• Perform physical property tests (e.g., tensile, hardness).
• Support process improvements in the QA department.
• Complete quality checks on the production floor.
