RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Quality Assurance Tech II in Austin, TX.

Summary:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Technician for a contract position working on Alexa devices. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, can troubleshoot complex issues, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for thoroughly testing and validating electronic devices. Quality Assurance Technicians regularly work with Hardware and Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation and performance of Alexa-enabled devices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with software project testing: defining test strategy, writing test plans, designing and executing software tests
• 1+ years of experience in writing scripts in at least Python
• Knowledge of UNIX environment is desired
• Experience with computer hardware (IT)
• Experience quality testing with hardware (Linux)
• Scripting and automation experience

Preferred:

• Demonstrated expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles
• Hands-on experience in testing Linux and/or Android-based devices
• Solid understanding of QA tool development chains and environments
• Experience writing scripts with test automation is a plus
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
