Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join a leading FMCG manufacturer in London. You will perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products, ensure GMP compliance, record results, and drive corrective actions.

You will calibrate lab equipment and collaborate with production to support audits and continuous quality improvements. Excellent documentation skills and teamwork are essential for maintaining product integrity

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma or Bachelor's in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in QA/QC in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and GMP.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their manufacturing operations team in East London . This role is critical for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. You will conduct various tests and inspections throughout the production process, from raw materials to finished goods, identifying and resolving any quality deviations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established procedures.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately record and document test results, identify any non-conformities, and initiate corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to address quality issues and implement process improvements.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and GMP principles.
• Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and documentation skills.
