Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in the United States to ensure product quality and adherence to the production schedule. The role involves sampling on multiple lines, documenting results, and escalating non-conformances to supervisors and QA management.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting; plastic manufacturing is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment; plastic manufacturing highly preferred.
• Technical background and/or experience in Quality Assurance highly preferred.
• Regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Good computer skills required.
• Skilled in the use of measuring devices, such as height gages and calipers.
• Good mathematics skills required.
• Frequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hair/beard nets, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently exposed to fumes, or airborne particles.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
• Good communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
• Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.
• Good attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as a cross-functional team member.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product releases meet quality standards and follow production schedule.
• Walk the floor to monitor running products and processes.
• Collect samples from each molding/printing line for testing; record results.
• Notify supervisors and QA Manager of non-conformances and update logs.
• Perform in-process verification and document checks on Quality Monitor.
• Document first-shot verifications and assist with LDR verifications.
• Maintain a safe working environment and housekeeping standards.
• Communicate ongoing concerns to incoming technician and cross-functional teams.
• Support a variety of duties as assigned.
