Cedar Crest Specialties has an immediate opening in our Quality Assurance Department, located at 2000 S. 10th Street, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Cedar Crest is seeking a skilled and experienced person to carry out various tasks in our QA Department. The ideal candidate will provide excellent attention to detail, experience in Microsoft Office applications, must have good communication skills and previous quality assurance experience in the food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• In process quality checks
• Perform testing on finished product and raw materials
• Post sanitation inspections and allergen testing
• Sanitation paperwork review
• Manage completion of Master Sanitation schedule
• Manage ingredient and supplier documentation
• Document and communicate out ingredient or product non-conformances

Additional:

• Have attended GMP, FSMA, Food Defense Awareness and Allergen Training.
• Shall meet all requirements of the SQF Program.
• Shall comply with all GMP Requirements.
• Provide or obtain Pasteurization License within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications:

• A Two year degree (four a plus) in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or equivalent work experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Sanitation, and manufacturing in a food or dairy facility.

Compensation:$19.00 /hourly or higher based on qualifications

Job Type: Full-time
