Job description

We are currently seeking an Ultrasonic Testing Technician (Quality Assurance) for our Appleton, WI, location who will report to our Quality Leader.

Shift Details

This is a weekend night shift, 5pm-5am, Friday-Sunday. Scheduled to work 36 hours but paid for 40! Training is paid and conducted during the week on 1st or 2nd shift. All required training and Level II certification testing are completed on site.

About Ultrasonic Testing

Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is a vital Quality Assurance tool used for examining materials and components with ultrasonic frequencies, which does not alter or destroy the parts' usefulness. Our Ultrasonic Testing department ensures we produce components meeting quality, reliability, and safety standards of ATI and our customers.

Role Responsibilities
  • Operate water immersion ultrasonic testing equipment to examine components.
  • Identify internal or external defects and document findings.
  • Prepare materials for testing, including cleaning and setting up equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and scan procedures to set up tests and prepare reports.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience or a technical degree/certification.
  • Experience with NDT schooling or prior NDT work preferred.
  • Military experience is a plus.
Skills
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong computer skills and technical savvy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail and high integrity.

Additional Information
