Job summary

Verst in Hebron, KY is seeking a Quality Technician to perform quality inspections and audits in line with our QA program, ensuring defects are prevented in current and new products. The role emphasizes attention to detail, measurement tool proficiency, and the ability to work on a fast-paced production line.

Shifts are 12 hours, with 6:00am–6:00pm or 6:00pm–6:00am on a 4-3 rotation, and the base pay is $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior quality experience in fast-paced production is preferred.
Willingness to train in FSC220000, Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing.
Ability to work under pressure and follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
Good understanding of measurement tools such as ruler, calipers and thickness gauge.

Responsibilities

Collect and maintain quality data to identify trends and conditions that may negatively impact the quality of the product.
Complete hourly inspections of product on the line.
Inspect incoming material and work with personnel to identify, isolate and troubleshoot quality-related concerns.
Perform thorough inspection of all material prior to machine startup and between changeovers.
Assist production lines as the QA resource for all quality-related issues.
Report quality issues to management and maintain quality records and documentation.
Report on, document and review product and material in QA hold area.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
