Quality Technician's at Allied Plastics are responsible for maintaining and follow-through of all customer quality requests. They work alongside Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and all production staff to ensure any daily quality functions are being worked on and addressed. Daily tasks include ensuring customer and supplier PPAPs are completed, dispositioning of non-conformances, obtaining material certifications, testing, or other quality requests to support production.

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (can be flexible)

Pay: $25 - $30 based on experience

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to interpret work instructions, process control sheets and engineering drawings for part qualification.
• Technician will be able to read and understand all items on part drawings to include GD&T callouts as applicable.
• Technician will work with other departments and suppliers to create and review all PPAP documentation per customer requirements.
• Work alongside the engineering department to create documents including PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plan, and Flow Charts.
• Operation of Hexagon Romer Arm used for part acceptance and first article inspection reports; including reverse engineering of customer supplied parts and tooling.
• Understanding of and proficient in PolyWorks software used for scanning and probe measurement.
• Monitor and maintain any customer portals to include, PPAP, corrective actions, engineering change requests, or material certification.
• Work with customers or suppliers to proactively correct issues relating to tooling, prints and product
• Assist in root cause investigation of non-conformities, including review and follow-up for completion
• Work with engineering teams on pre-production design and qualification methods
• Ability to create basic reports using Microsoft Word and Excel; prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis
• Provide technical guidance and advice to suppliers and to decision-makers within their organizations
• Able to work by them self and prioritize with minimal guidance
• Able to interact well with Management, Supervisors, and all other employees
• Keep legible and organized records/documentation and inspection records
• Strong quality focus with great attention to detail
• Must be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Maintain a clean work area and follow all plant safety rules and regulations
• Perform other duties outside normal work functions as directed by Management
  
  

Quality Inspector Qualifications

• 2+ years of Quality related experience
• Comfortable using ERP Systems (Epicor a plus)
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of Manufacturing experience preferred
• Any plastic experience is a plus
• Problem solver and self-motivated
• Upbeat attitude
