Job summary

Voith US Inc. in Summerville, SC, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support the quality management system and manufacturing operations, ensuring products meet defined specifications.

You will set up, operate and document testing procedures, develop understanding of the extrusion process, and work with production, engineering and maintenance to maintain quality and operational excellence. • Monitor and maintain various performance metrics.
• Support root cause analysis and facilitate corrective action plans.
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping and cleanliness habits within the quality lab.
• Work in a safe manner and follow safety requirements.

Summary

In this position, the quality assurance technician will support the quality management system and manufacturing operations to ensure products consistently meet defined specifications. Will be responsible for the set-up, operation and documentation of various testing procedures. Will develop a comprehensive understanding of the extrusion process and technical items related to the production of quality monofilament. Will work closely with production, engineering, maintenance to maintain product quality and operational excellence.

Employees in this position are regularly required to sit, walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
