Job summary

Voith Paper in Summerville, SC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support the quality management system and manufacturing operations. You will set up and operate QA test equipment and document results to ensure products meet specifications.

You will gain understanding of the extrusion process and contribute to product quality and operational excellence in collaboration with production, engineering, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing test lab environments preferred.
• English language required.

Summary

In this position, the quality assurance technician will support the quality management system and manufacturing operations to ensure products consistently meet defined specifications. Will be responsible for the set‑up, operation and documentation of various testing procedures. Will develop a comprehensive understanding of the extrusion process and technical items related to the production of quality monofilament. Will work closely with production, engineering, maintenance to maintain product quality and operational excellence.

Physical Demands

Employees in this position are regularly required to sit, walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
