Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a quality-focused professional to drive quality at the source and support continuous improvements across the production line. Responsibilities include establishing standards, performing material and product audits, and collaborating with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes strong communication, color vision testing, and basic PC skills, with a schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, at our Lithia Springs site in

• Basic Simonton product and process knowledge.
• Must successfully pass color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Drive Quality at the Source with work stations and standard requirements.
• Outline critical quality aspects and assess process capability and control.
• Create standards through communication with customers and suppliers.
• Provide quality tools, controls and work instructions.
• Maintain Quality at the Source with general quality controls.
• Audit incoming material, finished product and station inspection processes.
• Support line supervision with line calls and status updates.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors to resolve problems via root cause analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement projects following a defined problem-solving checklist.
• Communicate status of problem resolution via intranet and feedback programs.
• Share all quality activities with supervision and stations as appropriate.
• Assist in standardizing the department through procedural documentation.

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $24.89 - $36.00 per hour

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Drive Quality at the Source through providing work stations with the Quality at the Source necessities
• Outline critical quality aspects and understand process capability and control
• Create the appropriate required standards through communication with customers and suppliers
• Provide all necessary quality tools and controls and create Work Instructions that detail the above
• Maintain Quality at the Source through providing general quality controls
• Audit the quality of in-coming material, finished product and work stations inspection process
• Support line supervision with line calls
• Participate with internal and external customers and vendors in resolving problems by investigating complaints, collecting necessary data and solving complaint based on established root cause
• Facilitate Problem Solving Teams
• Lead improvement projects following defined problem-solving checklist including problem definition
• Communicate status of problem resolution via intranet Feedback Program
• Communicate all the above activities to supervision and work stations as appropriate.
• Support the standardization of the department through the creation and revision of procedural documentation
• All other functions as assigned
