Job summary

RTP Company in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform testing and inspection of injection molded specimens and pellet samples for production, sample, experimental and raw material product types.

Work on 1st shift, Monday-Friday (7AM-3PM). You will maintain accurate records, collaborate with QA Manager, and participate in continual improvement processes to ensure the highest quality products.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Excellent attention to detail required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical testing calculations.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
• Willing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every other weekend.
• Willing and able to work in temperature extremes – hot and cold.
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

• Perform injection molding on test specimens, panels, and pucks
• Maintain accurate records of all testing performed
• Collaborate with QA Manager and to continually work towards the highest quality products
• Participate in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods
• Other duties as assigned

Description

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing the required testing and inspection of injection molded specimens and pellet samples for production, sample, experimental and raw material product types.

Education and Experience

• Prior related Thermoplastic injection molding and/or plastics mechanical testing experience preferred
• Familiarity with RTP products preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Use of safety equipment as dictated by the work (safety glasses, safety shoes, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)

• Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Work in temperature extremes, wet and/or humid conditions, with dust, fumes, airborne particles

• Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level requiring use of hearing protection
