Description

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Conduct necessary inspections to verify product conformance to requirements. This includes but is not limited to documenting dimensional layouts in support of PPAP activities, performing incoming and end of line product inspections and performing shipping dock audits per documented procedures.

  • Initiate corrective and/or preventative action when the product or process does not conform to stated requirements.

  • Facilitate Non-Conforming Material Review Board activities by monitoring Q-location inventories, performing initial disposition recommendations, maintaining the MRB tracker and performing SAP transactions.

  • Coordinate internal quality spill containment activities and line sorts with appropriate personnel including performing associated SAP electronic transactions. Initiate Quality Alerts and update containment records under the guidance of the Quality Engineer.

  • Administer the Calibration Program for all inspection and test equipment. This includes scheduling or performing internal calibrations and arranging external calibration activities.

  • Perform Gage R&R / MSA and capability studies as scheduled or requested. Coordinate testing activities with production personnel and key in data for analysis.

  • Process customer returns including performing returned product evaluations, performing SAP transactions and communicating claim status and disposition to customers. Document and track results of warranty evaluations and supply data to be used for continuous process improvement and key metrics monitoring.

  • Perform internal audits of the Quality Management System and/or Production Work Cell.

  • Maintain quality records and documentation that support the Environmental Management System (EMS), Quality Management System (QMS) and associated requirements of IATF. This includes documenting and reporting results of activities, inspections, audits and maintaining the DMS.

  • Provide support to Quality personnel, Manufacturing and Design Engineers and Production as needed.


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Good verbal and written communication skills including internal and external customers and auditors.

  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality.

  • Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.

  • Ability to learn new duties and adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of time.

Base Pay Range: $24.00 - $33.23

1 - 3 years: Experience facilitating warranty process claims and resolution including customer interactions and communications. (required)
3 - 5 years: Experience in a manufacturing environment with print reading and inspection experience. (required)
