Job summary

Teasdale Latin Foods seeks a Quality Assurance Technician in Carrollton, TX. The role monitors production to ensure food safety and product quality, validates CCPs/CQPs, and conducts inspections across GMPs and SQF standards.

You will document findings, support corrective actions, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues while maintaining audit-ready records. Shift-based, on-site position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, or related manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and communicate quality and food safety concerns.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work independently, follow SOPs and work instructions, and make sound decisions within established procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production lines to ensure products meet quality and safety specifications.
  • Verify CCPs and CQPs and report deviations immediately.
  • Perform and document pre-operational, sanitation, GMP, and quality inspections.
  • Verify can codes, lot/date codes, labels, packaging, and product identification during production.
  • Verify scales, metal detectors, and other inspection equipment.
  • Monitor fill weights and other quality attributes.
  • Conduct product testing, sampling, and retain-sample activities.
  • Document inspections, testing, corrective actions, and holds.
  • Prepare and verify first-production/customer samples including labels and packaging.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready quality records.
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, R&D, and management to resolve issues.
  • Communicate any condition that could affect product safety or quality.

Job description

This role is located in Carrollton, Texas and applicants near Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex will be considered. We are currently hiring for second and third shift. SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring production processes to ensure food safety, product quality, and compliance with established specifications, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and company standards. This position works closely with Production and Quality leadership to identify deviations, document findings, and support corrective actions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Monitor production lines to ensure products meet established quality, food safety, and customer specifications.
  • Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs), Critical Quality Points (CQPs), and process controls and immediately report deviations.
  • Perform and document pre-operational, sanitation, GMP, food safety, and quality inspections.
  • Verify can codes, lot/date codes, labels, packaging, and product identification before and during production and after product or code changes.
  • Verify scales, metal detectors, and other critical inspection/testing equipment prior to and during production.
  • Monitor and verify fill weights, net weights, product specifications, and other quality attributes.
  • Conduct product testing, sample collection, product cutting, and retain-sample activities as required.
  • Accurately document all inspections, testing, corrective actions, product holds, dispositions, and production information.
  • Prepare and verify first-production/customer samples, including labels, coding, packaging, and other customer requirements.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready quality and food safety records.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, R&D, and management to resolve food safety and quality issues.
  • Maintain a strong food safety and quality culture and immediately communicate any condition that could affect product safety or quality.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
