• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, QA, or QC in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

About the Role

This role supports precision optics manufacturing where quality is critical at every stage. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll perform hands-on inspections, verify measurements, and ensure components meet strict specifications before moving forward in production. The work spans both the manufacturing floor and lab-style inspection environments, offering variety and technical depth.

What You'll Do

• Inspect optical surfaces using established visual inspection criteria
• Use handheld tools and automated measurement equipment to verify part dimensions
• Inspect complex optics and assemblies, including inspection equipment setup
• Read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and specifications
• Review process sheets, coating data, interferometer scans, and material certifications
• Complete First Article Inspections with minimal supervision
• Document inspection results and identify nonconforming material
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues and share improvement ideas
• Support process improvement efforts through data collection and testing
• Assist with training and mentoring junior QA and Manufacturing Technicians

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, QA, or QC in a manufacturing environment
• Confidence using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with GDamp;T (ANSI Y14.5) a plus
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Clear, accurate documentation habits
