Gregory Packaging, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to monitor, document, and report on food safety, quality, and GMP compliance throughout juice processing and packaging.

You will test products at all stages, calibrate lab equipment, and maintain records to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Independent and self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Test product at all stages of processing and packaging.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Monitor sanitation of the plant, processing areas, and equipment, and report issues.
• Document clean-in-place (CIP) sanitation according to schedule, and report any deviations.
• Perform scheduled titrations to check chemical levels of CIP cleaning and sanitizing compounds.
• Audit and document facility sanitation and GMP compliance, and report findings.
• Monitor and document normal production functions across the plant, processing, and equipment.
• Sample and test incoming raw materials, including juice concentrates, cleaning chemicals, and incoming water, for Brix, color, acidity, micro, and flavor; record receipt data and report exceptions.
• Monitor and document work in process (WIP), including Brix, color, flavor, micro, CIP and pasteurization records, cooler and product temperatures, and acid titration, and release product for packaging.
• Check finished goods, including packaging and date codes, sampling, leak detection, Brix, micro, color, and flavor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician monitors, documents, and reports on food safety, food quality, and food security throughout juice processing, packaging, storage, the facility, and personnel. The technician makes sure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety regulations, and product specifications are met.

From incoming raw materials to finished goods, the QA Technician tests product at every stage, monitors plant sanitation, and keeps accurate records so that company and customer food safety and quality standards are maintained and improved.
