General Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Tech is responsible for monitoring and documenting that the GMPs, HACCP, Finished Product Specifications, Process Sheets, and SOPs are followed during production to ensure the quality of our products. The facility includes cold areas (below 50°F) and warm areas due to cooking operations. Your major duties are listed below.
Specific Responsibilities
Cutting Room
Inspect incoming raw chicken breasts and dark meat to ensure they meet condition, temperature, bones, skin, veins, and cartilage specifications. Handle refrigerated raw materials safely, maintaining required temperatures during processing.
Fry Line
Ensure all breaded, battered, and baked products are cooked and/or cut at required times and temperatures. Control physical aspects of the product such as sizing, uniformity, defects, batter pickup, flavor, and odor. Weigh samples and record grading results.
Packaging Room
Control cooling/freezing and packaging processes to inhibit microbial growth and preserve products. Monitor metal detectors to ensure finished products are safely packaged. Perform other duties as assigned across all areas.
Desired Background/Experience
Good communication skills, ability to read and write English, math, and computer skills. Detail-oriented with a positive attitude. High School diploma or equivalent required.
