Job summary

Zones is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician in Illinois for 1st shift (5:30AM - 2:00PM). You will verify procedures, ensure documentation is up to date, and validate that the integration lab runs with zero errors.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, fault tracking, and teamwork across final checkout processes. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma (college preferred) and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.

Qualifications

• Follow the procedures systematically and understand each process.
• Verify each step in the QA checklist ensuring the tech annotates correctly and only auto-filled fields are used.
• Record all failure data with high detail in fault tracking.
• Ensure procedures are present and available for each product.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of assigned applications, functional areas, and projects.
• Collaborate on final checkout and validate accessories against documentation; team-based shift rotation.
• Follow QA policies and provide constructive feedback.
• Fallback to tech work when QA tasks are unavailable.

Working as a team on each shift sharing the responsibilities of either working together or rotating between the shift. All completed QA checklists are required to be inspected for completeness and accuracy
• Following policies set in place by the QA manager but also giving valid feedback where necessary.
• If QA tech work is not available at certain times during your shift, you are expected to fall back on tech work assistance, only until QA tech work once again resumes.

Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for adhering to defined standards and practices, and following the Quality Assurance processes and procedures. A primary key to this role is high detail orientated validation and inspection. You are expected to follow the procedures, processes and validate that the work done is to print. You are required to verify that documentation being used has up to date revisions and report any updates that must occur. Ensuring the Integration lab runs on zero error and informing the QA manager of any discrepancies is a must.

This role is 1st shift, 5:30AM - 2:PM.
