Job summary

Voltage Energy in Timberlake, NC is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead the daily activities of the Quality team in a high-volume wire harness and cable assembly facility. You will supervise Inspectors and Technicians, ensure products meet customer and internal standards, and drive continuous improvement on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of quality manufacturing experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing quality experience.
• Minimum 1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, automotive, electronics, or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and CAPA.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Experience with incoming, in-process, and final inspections; customer audits and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily quality inspection activities including incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Ensure inspection activities support production schedules without compromising quality standards.
• Monitor manufacturing processes such as cable preparation, wire harness assembly, crimping, ultrasonic welding, and molding operations.
• Verify compliance with customer specifications and manufacturing work instructions.
• Escalate significant quality concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Maintain inspection records and production quality documentation, including traceability and calibration support.
• Directly supervise Quality Inspectors and Technicians; schedule daily assignments and balance workloads.
• Train and coach employees on inspection methods, quality procedures, and accountability.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations, CAPA activities, supplier quality issues, customer visits, and audits.
• Participate in root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, defects, and customer complaints while supporting Lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
