Job summary

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee product quality and food safety programs at the facilities in Shafter, CA. The role includes coordinating internal audits, aiding with training, and preparing for outside audits to ensure compliance and high quality standards.

The position operates on the night shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM) with occasional travel to other Grimmway facilities; bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety.
• Ability to read and write procedures and develop new manuals.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish with strong communication skills.
• Four-year degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field preferred but not required with experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assure compliance with product quality and food safety programs.
• Assist with training for facility personnel on quality and food safety.
• Coordinate and perform internal plant audits and prepare for external audits.
• Support multiple Grimmway facilities and maintain confidentiality as needed.

What You Will Need

• Four-year degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field preferred but not required in lieu of direct experience.
• Must have knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety.
• Must be able to read and write procedures, update existing documents and develop and create new Food Safety manuals.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality about all aspects of the job at all times.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain high quality standards without supervision.
• Occasional travel to various Grimmway facilities may be required.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Benefits

Total Rewards: $70,304 - $75,000 / YEAR

• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
