Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support quality processes and audits within the Switchgear Division.

This onsite role is based in Warrendale, PA, and involves overseeing document approvals and providing technical support for process improvements. The ideal candidate has a technical bachelor's degree with up to two years of quality control experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of quality control/inspection experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material specifications.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and review documents and document approval process for accuracy and accountability.
• Present and report nonconformance to QA Manager on a weekly basis and recommend solutions.
• Promote quality awareness and quality procedures to help reduce process and/or product-related quality problems.
• Perform audits and provide training to new vendors to familiarize them with MEPPI Quality Assurance procedures.
• Evaluate vendor quality prior to vendor approval.
• Collaborate with and assist the Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales Departments to prevent and/or remedy quality problems.
• Travel to vendor locations to analyze and remedy quality problems as needed.
• Prepare documents to support customer audits and witness testing.
• Assist the Quality Manager to develop required quality control policies, procedures, forms, checklists, reports, etc., for vendor or factory assembly, test and shipping.
• Create quality plans per the recommendation of the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Review vendors’ quality assurance programs and assist them to meet MEPPI requirements.
• Track and trend vendor NCR’s for the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Assist with ISO QMS audit planning and scheduling. Participate in ISO audits.
