Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support quality processes, perform audits, and oversee documentation in the Switchgear Division.

This onsite role is based in Warrendale, PA, traveling to vendor locations as needed. The ideal candidate has a technical bachelor's degree with 0–2 years in quality control, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, plus familiarity with quality methods and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 0-2 years of quality control/inspection experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of quality control, engineering, production, and statistical methods.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review documents and document approval process for accuracy and accountability.
• Present and report nonconformance to QA Manager on a weekly basis and recommend solutions.
• Promote quality awareness and quality procedures to help reduce process and/or product-related quality problems.
• Perform audits and provide training to new vendors to familiarize them with QA procedures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales to prevent and/or remedy quality problems.
• Travel to vendor locations to analyze and remedy quality problems as needed.
• Prepare documents to support customer audits and witness testing.
