Job summary

Merck is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support shop floor operations on the 3rd shift. You will oversee packaging, ensure GMP compliance, and perform batch record reviews for intermediate and finished products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least 3 years in a manufacturing, technical, support, or military role or a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience with regulatory/compliance requirements including GMP, NDA and related regulations.
• Ability to work 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 11:30PM - 8:00AM) and perform batch record reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct shop floor support (counts, material tagging, production event support)
• Quality oversight of packaging process and plant site
• Evaluate defect resolution and control of material throughout the plant
• Guide packaging operations to ensure compliance with GMPs and company policies
• Perform batch record review activities of intermediate/finished product
• Maintain 5S and identify improvement opportunities
• Trends compliance KPIs and drive improvement
• Participate in implementation of new programs/regulations at the site
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions as needed
• Contribute to safety and team effectiveness initiatives
