Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a detail-oriented QA records reviewer in Minnesota to support batch record review, data entry, and recordkeeping in a food manufacturing setting.

You will help with documentation for audits, CA certificates, and quality management system training, while ensuring GMP and sanitation standards are met across the facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education related to food science, biology, or related fields preferred.
  • 1–3 years of quality systems, food safety, or production experience in a food manuf. setting.
  • Certification/license such as SQF, HACCP, PCQI may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete batch record review and data entry into the management software.
  • Disposition products by updating status in systems as assigned.
  • Review, organize, and file production records.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain company and customer spreadsheets, records, and reports; communicate with customers as needed.
  • Prepare and organize records for internal and external audits.
  • Obtain and/or issue certificates of analysis as needed.
  • Assist in writing, reviewing, updating, and training documentation for the Quality Management System.
  • Educate employees on food safety and quality topics per corporate guidelines.
  • May participate in quality walkthroughs, regulatory and customer inspections; support DFA policies.
  • Follow GMP and sanitation requirements; perform other duties as required.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Complete batch record review of various products and data entry into management software system

  • Disposition products (assign/change status) in management software systems as assigned

  • Review, organize, and file production records

  • Perform and/or assist with root cause analysis

  • Maintain company and customer required spreadsheets, records, and reports and communicate with customers as needed

  • Prepare and organize records as requested for internal and external audits

  • Obtain and/or issue certificates of analysis as needed

  • Support and assist in the writing, reviewing, updating, and training of all documentation elements of the Quality Management System and related software

  • Educate and train employees on food safety and quality topics per corporate guidelines

  • May complete quality walkthroughs of the facility to ensure necessary corrective actions are completed; may participate in regulatory and customer inspections

  • Adhere to all DFA Quality and Safety policies and procedures and report any nonconformities

  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Post-secondary education related to food science, biological science, or related sciences preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of quality systems, food safety, production, or related experience in a food manufacturing environment

  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment such as SQF, HACCP and PCQI certifications

  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems

  • Able to prepare technical reports and procedures

  • Able to keep good records (record keeping skill)

  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently

  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
