  • Experience with auditing, inspections, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform First Piece Approvals and process verifications.
  • Execute quality gate inspections throughout manufacturing.
  • Perform process audits and layered process audits.
  • Support containment activities for nonconforming products.
  • Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance to manufacturing procedures and standards.
  • Support SMS implementation and compliance activities.
  • Coach operators and supervisors on quality requirements.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring manufacturing process compliance, executing quality gates, conducting first-piece approvals, supporting containment activities, and reinforcing a culture of quality throughout operations. This role serves as the operational backbone of the quality management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform First Piece Approvals and process verifications.
  • Execute quality gate inspections throughout manufacturing.
  • Perform process audits and layered process audits.
  • Support containment activities for nonconforming products.
  • Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance to manufacturing procedures and standards.
  • Support SMS implementation and compliance activities.
  • Coach operators and supervisors on quality requirements.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
