Job summary

A leading iron casting supplier is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative in Wisconsin. Your primary responsibility will involve making regular visits to customers to support their quality assurance needs and improve customer satisfaction. The role requires effective communication, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of foundry processes. Applicants should possess a degree, and ASQ certification is preferred. Qualifications

  • Understanding of foundry/casting processes and defect analysis.
  • Knowledge of overall foundry procedures and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Working knowledge of quality trouble shooting techniques.
  • Working knowledge of overall foundry procedures and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to walk customer shops and discuss issues and opportunities for new work.
  • Ability to plan/organize independently and facilitate customer/team relationships.
  • Knowledge of customer specifications and requirements.
  • Ability to address customer quality problems with foundry personnel.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate to IL, IN, MI, or OH.

Responsibilities

  • Visit designated customers to support plant communication.
  • Send contact reports reviewing quality results and market intelligence.
  • Monitor customer quality concerns and address root causes.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement.
  • Utilize problem-solving tools including 8D, Six Sigma, and APQP requirements.
  • Address customer quality concerns and root cause.
  • Issue and verify RGA system with customer communication.
  • Monitor sorting activity at customer or outsourcing partners.

Responsibilities
  • The primary responsibility of a Quality Assurance Representative is to make regular visits to designated customers in a particular area and to be available to this group of customers anytime to support plant communication to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
  • The main deliverable from all visits and communication is the same – a contact report sent to the Plant and Corporate Management Teams that reviews quality results at the customer along with any market intelligence that can be obtained from the discussions that happen during the visit.
  • Must understand foundry/casting process along with defect analysis.
  • Must be able to promote continuous quality improvement.
  • Must be able to have problem solving tools including 8D, Six Sigma, APQP requirements.
  • Must be able to address customer quality concerns and address root cause.
  • Issue and verify R.G.A. system with communication to customer.
  • Monitor sorting activity at customer and/or outsource.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Engineer and or Manager recommended.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer & quality related programs.
  • Must have working knowledge of quality trouble shooting techniques.
  • Must have working knowledge of overall foundry procedures and practices.
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to walk the shop floor of our customers and communicate effectively about the issues they are experiencing as well as opportunities for new work for Waupaca Foundry.
  • Must have ability to work independently to plan & organize. Must be able to facilitate customer / team relationship.
  • Must have working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements.
  • Must be able to address customer quality problems with foundry personnel.
  • Must be willing to travel and re-locate to Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio (flexible).
