Job summary

TRUMPF North America is seeking a Quality Assurance role to verify product quality and coordinate supplier delivery quality. The QAR authorises product delivery from production to process or end customer.

Three core duties include investigating quality issues, coordinating dispositions of non-conforming parts, and performing inspections according to drawings and standards. collaboration with internal teams is essential to drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in quality control in parts/components manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings with GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
• Good interpersonal, detail‑oriented, and organizational skills; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and address quality issues: root cause, corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate material disposition of non‑conforming product: rework, replacement, acceptance under deviations.
• Perform inspections of materials per drawings and standards.
• Daily interfacing with internal departments and suppliers.
• Perform final inspections of finished machines.
• Implement and improve measures regarding quality assurance.
• Follow up on quality problems to verify effectiveness with internal teams and suppliers.
• Escalate issues if no adequate measures are initiated.

The QAR is responsible to verify the product quality of our machines and evaluate the supplier delivery quality. The QAR can demand and coordinate additional activities to ensure fulfillment of the TQS. Additionally the QAR authorises the product delivery from the production unit to the process or end customer.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Investigate and address quality issues: root cause, corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate material disposition of non‑conforming product: rework, replacement, acceptance under deviations etc.
• Perform inspections of materials in accordance with drawings and standards
• Daily interfacing with internal departments and suppliers
• Perform final inspections of finished machines
• Implement and further improve measures regarding quality assurance
• Systematically follow‑up on quality problems to ensure verification of effectiveness (internally and with suppliers)
• Responsible to escalated issues if no adequate or effective measures are initiated

Experience

Minimum two years’ experience in quality control in the parts/components manufacturing field. Ability to read and interpret drawings, detailed knowledge of GD&T. Experience with measuring equipment and detailed knowledge of inspection techniques. Good inter‑personal skills, attention to details, organisational skills in a fast‑paced environment and ability to use a computer and standard software packages (MS Office) required. Must be able to effectively work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
