Job description

We are currently seeking a part time / casual - QA/Technical officer to join us and be an integral part of our team. (20-25hours per week). With previous experience within the food or beverage industry you will have a sound understanding of the requirements for food safety and quality. As a talented individual your professionalism, energy, passion and drive gives you the ability to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing performance. This is a great opportunity and would suit a proactive individual with a background from within the Food Manufacturing sector where food safety and quality measures are in line with best practice.

Your responsibilities will include: -

• Work closely with the NPD & Quality Assurance Manager to ensure food safety and quality standards are maintained throughout production.
• Undertake Internal Audits including, but not limited to GMP, Foreign Object and glass/hard plastic audits.
• Maintain ongoing company compliance with all applicable regulations and customer requirements.
• Complete production documents/ records.
• Ensure our facility is clean and tidy
• Maintain our QA records
• Investigate deviations from production
• Assist with customer complaints

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills: -

• Good computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel also required.
• Be a strong team player with good communication skills
• Good analytical skills and decision-making ability
• Have a HACCP Certificate
• Encouraging and fostering a great team culture

To be considered you must have:

• Experience working as Quality Assurance Assistant in a food manufacturing facility
• Computer literacy, excellent communication, regulatory exposure and problem-solving skills are mandatory to ensure success in this role

Schedule:

• Flexible hours
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
