Job summary

Stella Maris Inc. in Timonium, Maryland is seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse to support the Nursing Department with audits and ensure compliance with standards of care.

The full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00a–4:30p onsite position requires an RN or LPN licensed in Maryland, with at least 3 years in long-term care, and familiarity with survey processes. Strong analytical skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Maryland.
• Minimum of 3 years in long-term care/skilled nursing environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations including survey processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• QA/QM certification (Six Sigma, Lean) a plus.
• Proficient with Point Click Care and related online websites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate data through audits and interviews to assess nursing performance and care delivery for regulatory compliance.
• Analyze resident care data to identify trends; conduct audits of medical records and develop education plans with Education to improve outcomes.
• Investigate self-reports to state, nursing complaints, and adverse events; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions with Plan-Do-Check-Act.
