Job summary

Staffing Network is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support microbiological testing and quality control within a beverage manufacturing facility in Downey, CA.

The role requires hands-on lab experience, knowledge of GMP, and accuracy in documenting test results. You will work closely with the QA Manager to conduct analyses, maintain equipment, and assist with audits and quality projects, with a 1:00 PM–9:30 PM shift and potential night coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on microbiology lab experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records in a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work assigned shift and schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and sanitize microbiology lab and equipment.
• Prepare samples and testing materials.
• Document microbiological analysis results accurately.
• Test finished products, water, packaging areas, and sugar tanks.
• Report non-conformances and assist investigations.
• Follow GMP and food safety procedures.
• Assist QA Manager with audits, data analysis, and projects.
• Maintain organized lab records and ensure testing procedures are followed.
