Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Quality Assurance Manager. The role involves overseeing and maintaining Quality Assurance for Clinical Laboratory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing laboratory safety and quality systems across the campus.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance programs for Clinical Laboratories.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies including CAP, DOH, OSHA, EPA, FDNY, and Joint Commission through assessments and audits.
• Manage laboratory safety programs and proficiency testing enrollments.
• Coordinate quality systems across multiple sites and work with staff managers and pathologists to maintain inspection readiness.
• Track non-conformances, incidents, and develop corrective actions to improve processes and ensure patient safety.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance and safety.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting related to quality assurance metrics.
• Manage proficiency testing performance and follow-up actions.
• Facilitate corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis and performance improvement plans.
• Ensure safety compliance, including chemical hygiene and biological safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• NYSDOH certified clinical lab technologist.
• 7-10 years of experience in clinical pathology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management skills.
• Knowledge of improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree, CPHQ/CPPS, Lean Six Sigma certification.
