Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the ASME/NQA compliance program in our Fort Pierce, FL facility. The role focuses on developing and maintaining quality programs, guiding policy interpretation, and coordinating with operations to ensure adherence to standards.

You will oversee audits, manage WPS/PQR/WQTR under ASME IX, review bids, and support engineering, manufacturing, and program management. A strong background in ISO/NQA-1 and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of quality assurance experience in ISO, NQA-1, or ASME Section VIII contexts.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, NQA-1, and ASME Section IX.
• Level II Inspector Certifications (VT, PT, MP) preferred; CWI a plus.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager (ASME/NQA) will oversee the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines.

To assure compliance, provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines. Works directly with operating entities to provide process analysis oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet guidelines. Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings, and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits. Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.

Review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Overseeing integration and testing activities for products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Train new and existing employees on our policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain our ASME Section VIII Boiler and Pressure vessel program.
• Manage and maintain our NQA-1 quality program.
• Manage and maintain WPS, PQR, and WQTR qualifications in accordance with ASME Section IX
• Ensure program manuals are updated and distributed as required.
• Perform general and project-specific oversight to ensure quality program requirements are completed properly.
• Review documentation to ensure contractual and quality program requirements are understood and met.
• Maintain the approved supplier lists.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of inspection records and nonconforming material reports.
• Responsible for investigation and closure of customer and field complaints.
• Manage personnel qualification and training activities as required by the QA program. Ensure the required activities are scheduled. Ensure records of completed activities are received and properly maintained.
• Monitor and maintain operational integrity of instruments, gages, and specialized measurement equipment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a quality professional working under an ISO, NQA-1, and/or ASME Section VIII-based quality assurance program.
• Excellent knowledge of metal fabrication, pipe fabrication, machining, welding, and coating/paint processes.
• Level II Inspector Certifications (VT, PT, MP) in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A preferred.
• Knowledge of welding processes desirable (CWI Certification)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
• While performing duties of this job, the employees are regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or protective gear may be required.
• Must be able to work normal business hours M-F (except Holidays, etc.)
• Must be available on weekends (travel, special projects, meetings, or company-related business)
• Must be willing to sign the company NDA and not engage in any activity deemed detrimental to the organization.
• Standard 40 hours per week Exempt position.
