Job summary

Hanon Systems, Alabama-based, seeks a Quality Assurance professional to manage warranty indices, drive root-cause analysis, and coordinate containment actions with cross-functional teams at our automotive manufacturing site in the region.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 3–5 years of QA experience, and proficiency in metrology, blueprint reading and SPC. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential for on-site collaboration with production and HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years’ related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with high volume production process preferred.
• Basic metrology skills, Blueprint reading and SPC knowledge.
• Computer skills to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Job description

• Manage 3M/12M and C/1000 indices, including monthly closing reports.
• Conduct daily monitoring of Dealer/3M claims and lead appeals/disputes with HMG for misrepresented claims.
• Share EWR (Early Warning Reports) and drive continuous claim reduction activities.
• Lead weekly meetings focused on warranty improvement initiatives with customer.
• Present monthly warranty performance results and establish/report comprehensive Quality Improvement Plans.
• Operate and manage regular communication channels with HQ to align quality strategies.
• Progress on weekly issue improvements and review effectiveness verification.
• Technical Diagnosis Analysis, Vehicle Inspection: Conduct on-site investigations of quality issues on actual vehicles.
• Assist manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
• Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system.
• Monitor customer quality performance including supplier/or customer interaction and development.
• Respond to and communicate internally and externally on customer quality issues including updates to customers on status of corrective actions.
• Lead coordination of containment issues to include root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Work with the cross-function teams (ex. production team) to address customer quality issues, timely resolution of issues, corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Participate in or lead problem solving teams assigned, analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
• Support the quality inspection process to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Support EHS objective.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required.
• 3-5 years’ related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred (Minimum 3 years of experience in QA (Preferred).
• Experience with high volume production process preferred.
• Basic metrology skills, Blueprint reading and SPC knowledge.
• Computer skills to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
